    Responsibilities /Responsabilités

    The Data I/O Operator is responsible for reading and writing of data to various media formats, managing and coordinating data storage usage across multiple SAN volumes, providing data backup for operations activities and other duties as required.



    • Reading and writing of data to various media formats.
    • Digital file transmission using Aspera Faspex and ASCP programs, Signiant, etcetera.
    • Managing of disk space within SAN environment for large scale post-production facility.
    • Develop scripts and/or programs to automate operations and simplify processes.
    • Conversion of media through scripting, Colorfront, Transkoder and Resolve.
    • File manipulation including renaming, renumbering, metadata information, etcetera.
    • Potential for growth of responsibilities to include a leadership role.
    • Knowledge or post-production workflow a plus.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications / Qualifications


    • Minimum 3 years of experience with Linux, Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
    • Knowledge of media formats such as LTO, hard drives, etc.
    • Must take a proactive approach and be a self-starter.
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative. Growth potential an asset.
    • Ability to perform shell scripting.
    • Basic interpersonal skills, ability to interface with others, team player.
    • Must be punctual, dependable and able to work a flexible schedule to meet business requirements.
    • Must be detail oriented and accurate.
