    Responsibilities /Responsabilités

    The Technicolor Emerging Products Lab, located in Palo Alto in the San Francisco Bay Area, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as we transition research innovations into products. We will build on our success in transitioning our video processing technologies for High-Dynamic Range (HDR) from concept to wide deployment in System-on-a-Chip and acceptance in ATSC 3.0. Our technologies require an understanding of video processing concepts but will expand during the course of the year to include new innovations. It is anticipated that these will include new breakthroughs in technologies such as machine learning where we are expanding rapidly.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Support the prototype efforts for video processing for HDR.
    • Maintain and enhance the video toolkits including a GStreamer-based platform for video processing.
    • Expand into prototype effort for new technologies as they are identified.
    • Limited Travel to support field trials within the US.

    Qualifications / Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BS CS or equivalent with at least 5 years of work experience.
    • Expert in embedded processing and development in C and C++.
    • Good knowledge of scripting languages including Python.
    • Extensive knowledge of video processing.
    • Strong automated testing mindset and experience with Continuous Integration (CI).
    • Some experience with machine learning frameworks and architectures.
    • Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and desire to learn.

     Nice to Haves:

    • Experience in Amazon Web Services and Cloud-based Development.
    • Experience in Web Development (e.g, JavaScript, REST Design Concepts.)
    • Experience with video editing/color grading software and techniques (e.g, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Lustre).
