Responsibilities /Responsabilités


​As an Accounts Receivable Representative, this person will be part of a dynamic team that manages the billing for our Transportation/Logistics client accounts. In this role, you will timely and accurately bill our clients for the services rendered. You will work with the Operations team to invoice outstanding freight services or resolve billing discrepancies. The Representative will also closely work with the Sr. Collector to issue credit memos or update billing requirements based on customer’s valid cash collection disputes. This position requires excellent communication, documentation and internal customer service skills as well as great attention to detail.


  • Participate in and document customer onboarding:
    • Summarize customer’s billing requirements.
    • Accurately implement freight billing requirements, including EDI implementation, customer portal access, and custom reporting.
    • Track all customer billing requirements.
  • Manage customer invoicing:
    • Monitor timely invoicing for new customers
    • Create customer invoices based on data from the various operational systems/sources, including reviewing billing files.
    • Analyze completeness of available data for invoicing.
    • Create billing packages, including custom invoice reports.
    • Submit invoices to customers via email, mail, EDI, or customer portal.
  • Account for customer invoicing:
    • Timely post customer invoices and reconcile billing data versus posted data.
    • Timely complete month end reconciliations – part of month end close schedule.
    • Communicate month end reporting.
    • Timely respond to customer inquiries and track successful completion of inquiries.
    • Support required process and system changes based on customer and invoicing volumes and services change.
    • Analyze and document trends to support changes in process and systems in a growing and dynamic business. 
    • Ad hoc analysis/reporting as needed to support operations​.        

Qualifications / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or​ equivalent experience.
  • Transportation industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on EXCEL reporting.
  • Ability to learn, navigate, and efficiently use online programs such as Mercury Gate and Sage.
  • Excellent analytical/issue resolution, organizational skills and experience.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and cross functional expertise.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in data gathering.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, establish facts, recognize and resolve problems, and draw conclusions.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally interact with internal team members.
  • Good team player, resilient, task and timeline focused, self-directed and able to multi-task.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, flexible, and proactive approach to all work situations.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Can confirm to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Must be professional, dependable, able to work both independently and in a team atmosphere and possess good business acumen and judgment.
