Responsibilities /Responsabilités

The Graphics Colorist is responsible for digital color correction for 2D and 3D Marketing graphics.  This role requires working with the graphics team on loading and grading individual layers of graphics projects as well as compositing them together.  In addition, the Graphics Colorist works directly with clients using personal creative ability to interpret the client’s intent for the overall look and feel of a project.



  • Responsible for all content in the Color suite.  Executes color correction for Marketing graphics projects.
  • Grades graphics with a full range of primary and secondary color correction, including the ability to selectively grade individual elements or layers within a shot.
  • Prepares for client sessions; Works closely with Producers and assistants to check elements and give notes that need to be carried out by VFX/Graphics artists.
  • Performs post session follow-up such as assessment of work orders and completes any necessary revisions.
  • Works with Operations and VFX/Graphics team to assess and fulfill the needs of the clients.
  • Fills out all work orders and reports for assigned projects.
  • Creates and renders all deliverables.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in color correction with an emphasis on compositing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of color correction platforms such as Baselight and Resolve as well as 2D/3D DI and monitor grading. 
  • Strong familiarity with color science terminology and workflows. Ability to confidently work with LUTs and monitor for the correct color space. Experience with HDR/EDR a plus. 
  • Deep knowledge of various file formats and codecs and bit depth (TIFF, EXR, DPX, ProRes)
  • Deep knowledge of motion graphics and comfort with keeping track of elements in multi-layer timelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface with clients and internal producers regularly and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Must be able to maintain flexible schedule to meet production requirements; ability to work long hours as needed.
  • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.  Able to apply creative license to work as well as guide Graphics team to achieve desired result for client.
  • Ability to focus for long periods of time; excellent visual acuity particularly with 2D/3D motion graphics.
  • Work well under pressure; deadline oriented.
  • Previous experience managing strategic relationships in the theatrical film industry with the ability to attract and retain clients in this industry
