Responsibilities /Responsabilités


  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and structures.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls.
  • Operate and perform programming changes and modifications on building automation system.
  • Repair and install new electrical circuits.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems.
  • Monitor and assist contractors working at facility.
  • Assist regulatory agencies or inspectors as needed.
  • Maintain work orders and spare parts inventory.
  • Responsible for ensuring all work and equipment is conducted in a safe manner.
  • Have Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of how systems work together.
  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, life safety and building codes.
  • Operation & maintenance of plant equipment and maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Development of energy management and conservation programs to insure continuous and optimum plant operation.
  • Preparation & maintenance of energy and facility records.
  • Knowledge of systems and equipment related to electrical distribution, lighting, water, natural gas, compressed air, vacuum, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, etc.
  • Knowledge of PIT operation and maintenance programs.
  • Work with and support manufacturing operations on the installation, maintenance and operation of equipment.
  • Request for quote, bid evaluation, and contractor/supplier selection for facilities contract work.

Qualifications / Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, Facilities Management or related field)  or a minimum of three years relevant Engineering/Facilities technical experience. Knowledge/Behavior 
  • High level of attention to detail. Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Works well under pressure and able to prioritize workloads.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals at all levels of the organization within and between departments as well as external contacts.
  • Review reports, etc. for accuracy and logic.
  • Must be able to pass facility aptitude tests.
  • Must have excel and word experience.
  • Must understand parts and material organization
