Responsibilities /Responsabilités

The scope of work shall include development of OEM Components required for RDK platforms; including: OEM Drivers, Manufacturer Library, Device Settings, Image Packing and Build Scripts, as well as OEM patches to SOC and/or Generic RDK components as required. Additional work items may include low-level Board Support Packages and Adaptation of SOC Vendor SDKs to Technicolor hardware. General responsibilities will include, but not be limited to requirements/feature analysis, coding, unit level test and verification during the Initial Development phases of the program, as well as vertical/system integration with RDK development partners during QA/Testing phases of the program, including ongoing defect triage and resolution during that time frame. The candidate will be required for report to work on-site at Technicolor's Lawrenceville (GA) facility on a full-time basis during normal business hours in order to facilitate interaction with Technicolor regular full-time employees also working on those programs; this will also provide the candidate access to the Head-end equipment necessary for system-level integration and test. The candidate should be capable of traveling between Technicolor and customer sites as required throughout all phases of the project; the projected travel requirement is 10% or less.

 

  • C/C++ coding and debugging.

  • Embedded Linux development, RTOS, eCos Switching, Routing, CCSP, RDK-B development.
  • DOCSIS, VoIP, Wi-Fi development.
  • Wi-Fi chip integration, wireless networking, 802.11.
  • PCI-e based I/O devices.
  • IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, network debugging.
  • Moca, DLNA, Samba, advanced networking features.
  • Ability to work independently and in small teams.
  • GIT, JIRA, scrum team, customer support, global team.

Qualifications / Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) is required; MS is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in applicable field required.
  • Candidate must have a solid background and extensive experience with Comcast RDK software development; especially those RDK involvements directly related to Comcast products.
  • Strong software integration skills/experience is a key attribute for this position. Candidate must be capable/willing of working in a self-directed manner, with minimal guidance or managerial oversight.
