    Technicolor Connected Home engineers next-generation home network and video solutions that enable bandwidth intensive content to be distributed at gigabit speeds and enjoyed seamlessly regardless of place, device or time. This position is on a software development team at the heart of CPE (consumer premises equipment) product development that also includes diverse teams for project and product management, hardware, manufacturing, operations, and partner relations. Our company has a proven record of making history from the first DVD set-top-box developed in 1996 to our most recent innovations: Connected Home engineered the first certified Wifi 11n gateway, the first 4k set-top-box, the first Docsis 3.1 modem, the first AndroidTV set-top-box.     RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    The scope of work shall include development of platform adaptations for RDK-based products with a variety of SoCs and peripherals. General responsibilities will include, but not be limited to requirements/feature analysis, coding, unit level verification during the Initial development phases of the program, as well as vertical/system integration with RDK development partners during testing phases of the program, including ongoing defect triage and resolution.

     

    The candidate will be required for report to work on-site at Technicolor's Lawrenceville (GA) facility on a full-time basis during normal business hours in order to facilitate interaction with the team. This will also provide the candidate access to the infrastructure necessary for development and debug. The candidate should be capable of traveling to customer sites, domestic and international, as required throughout all phases of the project; the projected travel requirement is 10% or less.

    • C/C++, Bash/Python coding and debugging
    • Embedded Linux driver and kernel development
    • DOCSIS, VoIP, Wi-Fi, networking development
    • IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, network debugging
    • MoCA, DLNA, advanced networking features
    • PCI-e, SPI, I2C, UART
    • git, Jira, Yocto, Jenkins, Docker
    • Agile Scrum

    Qualifications / Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) is required; MS preferred.

    • 1-5+ years of embedded Linux programming experience.

    • Self-starter, self-managed, shows initiative.

    • Team player: software team, related project teams, vendors, customers.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong people skills.

    • Must be able to lead from behind (wag the dog).

    • Business-minded.

    • Able to multitask.
