Responsibilities /Responsabilités

The Global Sourcing Manager (GCM) for Systems-on-Chip (SoC) aims at delivering favorable impacts to his internal customers’ business performance (top & bottom lines) and at protecting Technicolor’s interests. This position can also be referred to as "SoC GCM" or "SoC Sourcing Manager".

 

The SoC GCM manages a portfolio of purchased SoCs for which he is responsible for commercial negotiations, Sourcing strategy, Supplier Management and contractual negotiations as follows:

 

Commercial negotiations:

  • Regular, exhaustive and aggressive negotiations of the SoC portfolio leveraging WW volumes.
  • Systematic involvement at new projects' inception in order to conduct an early and thorough Sourcing process: RFI, RFQ, multiyear negotiation, SoC design award, SoW (Scope of Work) engagement.
  • Leverage appropriate tools e.g. e-Sourcing, e-Auctions.
  • Negotiate all terms influencing TCO including payment terms, incoterms, flexibility, development funds, exclusivity, MFN.
  • Meet cost productivity KPI.

 

Sourcing Strategy:

  • Contribute to define the SoC Sourcing strategy with the various internal stakeholders.
  • Define the IC strategy for the IC commodities (s)he leads.
  • Lead the execution of the induced SoC and IC strategies.

 

Supplier Management:

  • Owns the business relationship with suppliers: organize the supplier governance through appropriate regular business, technical and commercial reviews at relevant levels.
  • Track supplier's execution performance and take appropriate escalation actions.
  • Foster relationships that allow close interactions and brings preferential conditions to Technicolor in the area of innovation e.g. early roadmap access, integration of Technicolor technologies into the SoC supplier’s roadmap, etc.

 

Contractual negotiations:

  • The GCM is responsible for negotiating contracts (such as Supply Purchase Agreement, Quality Contract, Logistic Agreement, rebate agreements).
  • Shape/redline all contractual clauses with Legal Counsel to achieve the best possible performance and minimize Technicolor's risk.

Qualifications / Qualifications

​Master degree in computer sciences / software engineering or equivalent experience. Sourcing specialization is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical skills to understand, question and synthesize complex cases with software, business and legal aspects required.

  • Ability for regular travels as well as strong work capability are required.
  • Keeps curiosity high and mind wide open to acquire and maintain the necessary technical, business and industry knowledge.
