Responsibilities /Responsabilités

Position Summary: Responsibilities are in two major categories:

 

Strategic Sourcing Support:

  • Create, issue and analyze RFQs, RFPs and RFIs in support of Direct Material (DM) Commodity Managers.
  • Work closely with the WW VP Sourcing in developing improved/upgraded systems in order to skew the work toward strategic analysis, decision-support and advanced responsibilities in supplier quality assurance and key special projects.

 

Research, Analysis & Reporting:

  • Support DM Sourcing Managers, as directed, with research on commodities related to markets, cost drivers and suppliers.  Develops advanced analyses and decision support systems for use by DM Sourcing Managers.
  • Maintain and report DM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work closely with Finance in the Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, Full Year and Annual Budgets.
  • Gather DM WW spend monthly, sharing through SharePoint Workbook the detailed spend by commodity, supplier and site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Strategic Sourcing Managers/Sr. Managers/VP in preparing RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.
  • Analyzing responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs working closely with DM Strategic Sourcing Managers/Sr. Sourcing managers.
  • Develop and implement analytical tools and reports to provide decision support to Executive management. These tools include spend analytics for Direct Materials encompassing commodity spend, variance against budget, impact of pricing and volume changes.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for data collection, consistent analysis, tracking of vendor payment terms and contract management. Ensure data integrity in e-sourcing tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with VPs, Sr Manager/Managers in Sourcing, Purchasing, Finance and Quality to ensure timely, relevant and accurate data for Executive decision making on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Provide cross-functional project management to harmonize reporting across the regions and business units.
  • Develop & maintain a composite Price Index measuring price performance of a basket of company’s key commodities against standard industry indices. Provide market analysis report to commodity managers for inflation/deflation analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between Sourcing and Finance group in establishing aggressive budget costs for Direct Materials and Indirect materials.

Qualifications / Qualifications

  • Five plus years’ experience in a global Strategic Sourcing or Advanced Procurement organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA desirable.
  • Quality, Engineering and/or technical background desirable in order to provide a broader opportunity for career growth and development within Sourcing.
  • High innate intelligence, and ability to comprehend strategic concepts in order to develop decision support systems.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, redlining agreements, Cloud-based solutions, project management, and budget dissection are all required.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PP, Word, Outlook), with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven record of success in highly competitive/demanding environment (high confidence level).
  • Strong analytical skills to present solution options and build financial business cases with professional presentations.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to track projects, resolve problems and excellent attention to details.
  • Well-developed/professional communication style; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees, locations and diverse cultures.
  • Results-oriented with a high degree of skill in managing deadlines for customer solutions across a global platform.
  • Commitment to achieving deadlines and/or putting in the extra effort required to get the job done.
