Technicolor is the world’s largest manufacturer of Blu-ray and DVD products, offering end-to-end supply chain management services to Hollywood studios, independent content owners, game and software publishers. Our services include content preparation, disc replication, finished goods distribution and transportation/freight optimization solutions. Position Summary:

Transportation Planning: Provide extensive support to various lines of business, points of sale, and internal stakeholders by reporting on and analyzing key account metrics.

 

Customer Support: Develop transportation operating plans for Technicolor customers to support inbound/outbound freight management.

 

Freight Brokerage: Drive all activities relating to transportation execution with carriers, for customer freight opportunities for both inbound and outbound customers, as well as various transportation initiatives (TMS/Freight Billing & Auditing)

 

Key responsibilities:

  • ​Operate as lead point of contact for all matters related to assigned accounts
  • Work in conjunction with other internal teams (sales, ops, business support) ensuring all customer expectations are met and exceeded
  • Solicit additional freight opportunities through constant communication with customer and working closely with sales team to ensure growth
  • Develop trusted expertise and advisory relationship with key accounts, internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly the progress of any monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Track key account metrics and prepare related reporting​
  • Develop pricing models to support customer managed freight
  • Freight Brokerage Buy/Sell administration and Tactical Duties
  • Manipulate transportation data to support cost initiatives and service improvements
  • Provide weekly/monthly financial reports that support Logistics organization
  • Develop transportation KPIs to support logistics organization
  • Support customer business reviews for Technicolor's customer managed freight
  • Evaluate Technicolor's current transportation pricing
  • Support/Manage financial and order data in Access and SQL Databases

Qualifications / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of related customer service/account management experience within the transportation industry especially freight brokerage or freight forwarding
  • High degree of software knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project MapPoint; some familiarity with MercuryGate TMS is ideal
  • Transportation experience encompassing parcel, LTL, ocean, and truckload modes
  • Experience using statistical modeling for decision support purposes is preferred
  • Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Extremely organized and communicative
  • Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound email and calls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to carrier price structure, contracts, performance metrics
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle details and resolve problems
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity for what makes the business run
  • Media/Entertainment background preferred
