Position Summary: ​

The purpose of the SCP Distribution Manager is to develop Catalog and New Release Distribution capacity & demand Forecasts for both internal and external purposes and oversee mid and long-term demand to mitigate potential capacity issues with the sites to balance workload. Oversees the day-to-day activities that support the North America distribution supply chain planning functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly Distribution and Transportation Forecasts.
  • Publish accurate metrics reports.
  • Create excel based schedules.
  • Communicate distribution capacity concerns inside and outside of department.
  • Oversee Catalog and New Release Distribution planning interaction with the site scheduling groups. (multiple facilities) to level load the work backlog as needed.
  • Communicate Forecast and Backlog concerns with appropriate management teams.
  • Oversee/create capacity & demand metrics reports.
  • Oversee/create detailed schedules for large and high visibility orders/promotions.
  • Develop statistical excel spreadsheets of all Catalog & NR Distribution Data.
  • Generate Charts and Graphs of statistical data in excel and Power Point.
  • Prepare Distribution reports and distribute to Sr Management in timely manner.
  • Prepare and Distribute Budget Reports.
  • Work on Assigned projects to improved business processes.
  • Manage Distribution Planning Analysts.

Qualifications / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with multiple functional groups, territories and different levels of an organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and offsite facility personnel.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise records, reports, files, statistical information, and correspondence and other written materials using MS Office and APICS methodology.
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions within established guidelines.
  • Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent Insights, JBA and SAP skills.
  • Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Prefer four-year college degree or equivalent experience in Distribution Planning and Supply Chain. analysis for Manufacturing required.
  • APICS Certification preferred.
