Provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing & communicating recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with Technicolor companies globally. For all Data Centers (current, new and planned) make recommendations to enable timely, effective decisions regarding hardware/software recovery planning, implementation and operations. Provide complex project leadership between the application owners from various business units, the Technicolor Global server team, and external companies that are under contract to provide DR services.
Chartered with providing alternate facility, core computing systems equipment and support necessary to effect business continuity in the event of a disaster or emergency which would preclude normal operations at one of the company’s primary processing sites. Focus is on providing comprehensive ability to recover systems and operations with minimal operating risk, positioning the company for future changes in geography, products and technology while minimizing expenses.
In addition to the Disaster recovery program, manage the delivery of our global backup solution. Manage 3rd party company for Backup services and ensure all our systems are correctly backed up and in adherence to our retention policies. Review status, performance and costs with management and other stakeholders. Plan, schedule and perform deployments and migrations to all sites where feasible.
