The role of the SW Solutions Architect is to plan, develop, and execute on our integral software technology product strategy for the Cable Broadband Unit, provide pre-sales support, generate architectural solutions for SW that can potentially span multiple HW platforms, stay abreast of new industry technologies of near term impact (6-24 months), and act as customer trusted advisor.
The SW Solutions Architect will work with multiple cross-functional teams, including project management, sales, engineering, and other stakeholder departments. The SW Solutions Architect will ensure that for the SW product line in the Cable Broadband Unit, all product functionality, financials, and deliverables exceed corporate objectives.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience working on software for broadband gateways for network service providers. This includes software architecture experience for modular software design, interprocess communication (IPC) techniques, software reuse, open source; Network protocol knowledge and experience including routing, DHCP, DNS, UPnP, SNMP, TR-069, IPv4, IPv6 and other relevant network protocols; Knowledge and experience with network interface technologies including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, MoCA, G.hn, DSL, DOCSIS, LTE, PON. Experience should include software architecture definition within a multi-team environment.
